Privacy Policy
Effective September 28, 2026 · Applies to the FitGrid iOS app (“FitGrid: Gridfinity Designer”)
Summary
FitGrid does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal data. The app has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and makes no network requests. Everything you create stays on your device unless you choose to share it.
Camera, LiDAR and motion
If you choose to scan an object or measure a drawer opening, FitGrid uses the camera, LiDAR depth data and ARKit on your device. The photos, depth data and 3D models captured during a scan are processed on your device and stored in the app’s private storage. They are never uploaded to us or to any third party. You can decline camera access; the baseplate and bin designers work without it.
Data stored on your device
- Projects, scanned objects, capture photos and generated 3D models, saved in the app’s private storage.
- Your settings (for example printer, filament, file format and project defaults), saved in the app’s preferences.
This data may be included in your own iCloud or computer device backups according to your iOS backup settings; we have no access to those backups. You can delete individual projects and scans in the app, or remove all data by deleting the app.
Sharing exports
When you tap Export, FitGrid creates a 3MF or STL file and opens the iOS share sheet. The file goes only where you choose to send it (for example AirDrop, Files or a slicer app). Those destinations are governed by their own privacy policies.
Children
FitGrid does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date. If FitGrid ever begins collecting data, the policy and the App Store privacy details will be updated before that release.
